There's something about the Golden Retriever breed that makes them the happiest dogs. Whether walking, swimming, or snuggling by their human side, they are equally delighted. They also seem to appreciate these experiences profoundly and even show gratitude for their special belongings.

This beautiful dog's connection to his favorite new toy exemplifies this characteristic. After leaving it behind to take a walk, he ensured his stuffed friend felt loved once he returned.

Take a look at his spirited snuggle session shared in this video on September 11:

Everyone should have a friend they love as much as Macho (@ macho_the_magnificent ) adores his lamb. Even though his mom found it lying abandoned in the grass, she knew he would make things right. After returning from his walk, he scooped it up and took it for a 20-minute play and cuddle session. His happy tail wags make his gratitude evident, making it worth the $25 price tag. While he looked adorable, cuddling next to his lamb, when he held it in the air between his paws and lovingly gazed into its eyes, he was as precious as could be! He's such a sweetheart! Dogs have a talent for reminding us to appreciate the little things each day.

Why Do Dogs Bond with Certain Toys?

Dogs, like Macho, can form emotional attachments to certain toys, and experts believe dogs find comfort and security in those that are soft and plush. This is why they frequently carry them in their mouths and enjoy showing them off, whether anxious or excited. According to Dogster , some dogs select favorite toys that help them fulfill their natural instincts. For example, Retrievers might choose balls or frisbees, while hunting dogs may prefer toys that have squeakers. Female dogs might also have a connection to toys that remind them of being mothers, with many caring for them as if they were puppies. In some cases, this can result from a false pregnancy . Aside from the enjoyment they get from these items, dogs may also have an emotional attachment to them because they remind them of positive experiences, particularly the good times they share with us.

People understood this cheerful boy's appreciation for his beloved stuffed lamb. Viewer @singtizen responded, "Lambie helps Macho keep watch, not just a cuddle toy, his side-kick." That sure seems to be the case. Viewer @juju_rozay remarked, "Macho might need a brother or sister." Ha! That could be true. Viewer @gohmosch joked, "I'm amazed it's still white in color." It is impressive, especially since he takes it outside.

While it's often said that money can not buy happiness, it can buy plush toys. As far as our dogs are concerned, that's the same thing.
