CANYON COUNTY, ID — A serious four-vehicle collision near Lake Lowell on September 14, 2024, resulted in multiple injuries and caused the closure of the intersection at Lake Shore Drive and Pump Road for three hours. The Idaho State Police is currently investigating the crash, which occurred at approximately 11:19 a.m.

A 2015 Honda Accord was traveling eastbound on Lake Shore Drive when a white 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle, attempting to catch up with other motorcyclists, crossed into the eastbound lanes and sideswiped the Accord. In an effort to avoid further impact, the driver of the Honda Accord swerved into the westbound lanes, colliding head-on with a maroon 2010 Victory motorcycle. Shortly after, a black 2023 Can-AM Ryker, driven by a 49-year-old from Nampa, struck the Honda Accord.

The driver of the Honda Accord, a 47-year-old woman from Highlands, California, was wearing her seatbelt and sustained minor injuries. However, the driver of the Victory motorcycle, a 33-year-old woman from North Platte, Nebraska, was severely injured and transported to the hospital via air ambulance. The Harley Davidson rider, a 34-year-old woman from Boise, was transported by ground ambulance to the hospital.

The crash led to the closure of the intersection for approximately three hours. Authorities are still investigating the details surrounding the incident.
