Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2 Release Date Window Set in Teaser Trailer

“The darkest battles lie ahead,” as Netflix has finally revealed the release date window for Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2.

Castlevania: Nocturne, which premiered on the streaming platform in 2023, was announced to be returning for Season 2 just last year. Per the official logline, the adult animated series is a “gripping story of love and loss,” which “marks an evolution to the original fan-favorite Castlevania series.”

When is the Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2 release date window?

The newly released teaser trailer revealed that Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2 will premiere sometime in January 2025. Created and written by Clive Bradley, the spin-off to the original Castlevania series — set during the French Revolution — follows Richter Belmont as he continues his family’s traditions of hunting vampires. It is based on the video game series of the same name.

The official synopsis for Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2 reads: “Now joined by the legendary Alucard, Richter Belmont and his band of vampire hunters are in a desperate race against time. Erzsebet Báthory, the Vampire Messiah, who already seems invincible, seeks the full power of the goddess Sekhmet so she can plunge the world into endless darkness and terror.”

The animated series features the voices of Edward Bluemel as Richter Belmont, Thuso Mbedu as Annette, Richard Dormer as Emmanuel/The Abbot, Pixie Davies as Maria Renard, Nastassja Kinski as Tera Renard, Zahn McClarnon as Olrox, Sophie Skelton as Julia Belmont, Sydney James Harcourt as Edouard, and Franka Potente as Erzsebet Báthory, among others.

Castlevania: Nocturne is only an addition to the streamer’s growing animated library, joining Big Mouth, Blood of Zeus, Arcane, Bojack Horseman, Troll Hunters: Tales of Arcadia, Carmen Sandiego, Disenchantment, Inside Job, Hilda, and Love, Death & Robots.
