Stephen A. Smith Said What Everyone's Thinking About Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift

Stephen A. Smith didn’t hold back on Monday’s " First Take ", delivering a sharp critique of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce following an underwhelming performance against the Cincinnati Bengals .

Aside from his usual solid blocking, Kelce was largely absent in the passing game, catching only one pass for five yards. Over the first two games, Kelce has totaled just four receptions for 39 yards and zero touchdowns.

Smith pointed out that the Chiefs managed to secure a win despite Kelce’s lackluster performance, suggesting they were somewhat fortunate. In a cutting remark, he even took a swipe at Taylor Swift , adding an extra layer to his critique.

“We saw more of Taylor Swift than we saw of Travis Kelce yesterday. On a Sunday afternoon,” Smith said . “Now, any other time that’s applicable, that ain’t supposed to happen yesterday. We’re supposed to see more of Travis Kelce than we saw of her.”

This has been one of the slower starts to a season for Kelce in recent memory, with only seven targets through the first two weeks. While his chemistry with Patrick Mahomes should mitigate long-term concerns, Kelce will need to elevate his performance to boost his production moving forward.

Nonetheless, Stephen A. Smith is known for making his voice heard, and he was particularly vocal on Monday morning. The Chiefs will head to Atlanta to face the Falcons on Sunday Night Football in Week 3.

Smith is such an underwhelming talking head! The fact is Kelce was triple and doubled up and the Bengals had planned it that way! Go away Smith - no one respects your ludicrous comments!
