Dan Patrick: “What was it like to play behind a bad offensive line?”
Steve Young: “Life is too short, Dan. In football, you need a lot of help to be a great quarterback, or even a good quarterback. You need help. You need it from the owner down, especially in today’s game. If you’re behind a bad offensive line, you can’t be yourself. You can’t show who you are...I’ve always said, if you’re gonna be good, you can send up a flare that tells people you can still play. I watch for those from guys that are on terrible teams, like Russell Wilson in Denver, I didn’t see it. Behind a bad line, there’s not much good that can happen.”
Dan Patrick: “I don’t know what to make of Bryce Young. It’s not fair to him, but I don’t know if he can play...”
Steve Young: “It’s the classic conundrum, right? You’re a high draft pick, you have all the success in college, you feel like you should be good but you don’t get any help, and now you don’t know...that’s somewhat the curse of being the number one pick...”

On today’s installment of The Dan Patrick Show, Dan was joined by Hall of Fame QB and NFL analyst Steve Young to talk about some of the young QB struggles across the NFL so far this season, his experience going through concussions as a player, team travel issues, and much more!
