Sherrone Moore and the Michigan Wolverines have apparently seen enough through the first three weeks of the season.

Ahead of their marquee matchup in Week 4 of the season, Moore announced that the Wolverines are making a quarterback change, replacing Davis Warren with Alex Orji for Saturday's game against the USC Trojans.

Through the first three weeks of the season, Warren completed 48-of-72 passes for 444 yards, 2 TDs, and 6 INTs. Though Michigan was 2-1 with their only loss coming against No. 1 Texas, the Wolverines looked far worse than many expected them to in 2024.

Moore is hoping that a change under center can be enough to turn things around.

"I'm excited for him, and I know he’s chomping at the bit," Moore said of Orji, according to 247Sports Michigan reporter Zach Shaw .

Orji has seen very limited action in his career at Michigan through his three seasons. He's completed 4-of-7 career pass attempts for 20 yards and two touchdowns. He has been used as a rusher, though, with 31 carries for 181 yards and 3 touchdowns with the Wolverines.

We will see if Orji's insertion into the lineup will be enough to provide a spark for Michigan, but it's clear after watching the first three games of their season that something needed to change.

Warren is terrible and the team will never win much with him at QB.
