According to a press release from Tupelo Police Department, Harris was served a Lee County Circuit Court Capias Warrant on Friday. The warrant pertains to an incident in 2022 when Harris fled from officers at a traffic stop. The officers attempted to stop the vehicle Harris was driving. Harris then fled from officers and drove through downtown Tupelo, until he later crashed his vehicle at East Main Street and Highway 45.

Lee County Circuit Court ordered Harris to be held on a $15,000 bond at the time the capias was issued. His case is currently awaiting trial.

More information will be released as it becomes available.
