The Texas Longhorns are now the No. 1 team in college football after their win against UTSA, but that is somehow not the biggest story.

No, seriously. The Longhorns are atop college football for the first time since 2008, and all anyone can talk about is backup quarterback, Arch Manning. It isn't to stir up drama, either.

After starting quarterback Quinn Ewers went down early in the game with what was revealed to be an oblique injury, Manning came in and shined right away. His first play in the game he threw a 19-yard passing touchdown to DeAndre Moore, and then the next possession he took off for a 67-yard touchdown run.

He ended up with five total touchdowns en route to leading Texas to a 56-7 win, and he was also honored by the SEC for his showing. On Monday, it was announced via the program and SEC that Manning was named SEC Co-Freshman of the Week.

It doesn't come as a surprise either, as he finished the game having completed 9-of-12 passes for 223 yards and four touchdowns while also rushing for 53 yards and a score. Two of his passing touchdowns went for 50 yards or more.

This won't be just a one-off for Manning either, as he is set to start the Longhorns' Week 4 game against Louisiana Monroe on Saturday as Ewers continues to work back.
