The Indiana Fever (20-19) nabbed a much-needed win against the Dallas Wings (9-30) on September 15 after taking two straight losses to the Las Vegas Aces. During the Fever's 110-109 victory over the Wings, Caitlin Clark put up a career-high 35 points with 8.0 assists, 2.0 rebounds, and 3.0 steals.

Clark made WNBA history during Indiana's win over Dallas, breaking Seimone Augustus' rookie record for most points scored (744) in a single season, a title the Hall of Famer has held since 2006. The NCAA's all-time scorer finished the matchup with 761 total points.

Clark's exponential improvement since the season first started has been incredible to watch, however, the Fever reminded everyone on September 16 that the 22-year-old rookie has had Wings guard Jacy Sheldon's number since Day 1.

The Fever posted side-by-side photos of Clark breaking Sheldon's ankles and wrote, "déjà vu Caitlin Clark yesterday vs. the first preseason game of the season."

Fans strongly reacted to the Fever's post. One man responded , "Lmfao this admin unhinged." Another person wrote , "Poor Jacy, my god. This tweet is diabolical." One fan added , "Give this admin a million dollars NOW."

Sports broadcaster Robin Lindberg posted , "Fever social team has behaved exactly like a franchise with Caitlin Clark on it should since the All Star break."

Indiana officially clinched the No. 6 seed during Sunday's win over Dallas. However, it remains unclear which team they will face in the first round with several playoff seeds still undecided. If the brackets were drawn up today, Indiana would face the Connecticut Sun (No. 3 seed).

The Fever finish off the regular season on the road against the Washington Mystics on September 19.
