Travis Hunter delivered a game for the ages on Saturday against rival Colorado State , making a tremendous impact on both sides of the football for the Colorado Buffaloes.

He recorded 13 receptions for 100 yards and two touchdowns offensively, while defensively adding four tackles and an interception in a 28-9 victory over the Rams.

On Monday, the Big 12 Conference recognized Hunter’s outstanding performance by naming him the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week.

Despite his remarkable performance, Hunter did not receive the Offensive Player of the Week award. That distinction went to UCF running back RJ Harvey, who had a standout game with 29 carries for 180 yards and two touchdowns, plus one reception for 29 yards and another touchdown.

On the season, Hunter has put up Heisman-caliber numbers, showcasing his all-around talent. He has accumulated 30 receptions for 342 yards and five touchdowns, averaging 11.4 yards per catch.

He could be doing this for Georgia, Michigan , Ohio st, Alabama, Texas, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Miami, LSU etc, you know, serious National Championship contenders, and he'd be a top 5 candidate for the Heisman. Instead he plays for the carnival that won't even make a bowl game.
