Alexis Bellino Reveals How Ex-Husband Jim Reacted to John Janssen Engagement

Alexis Bellino and John Janssen have projected their romance to the world, despite the latter claiming he wanted to avoid the limelight. It’s been consistent social media posts and interviews since the Bravolebrity moved on with Shannon Beador’s ex-boyfriend. Of course, that’s all part of the job of a Real Housewives star.

Their engagement announcement in August was another publicized affair. Naturally, Alexis’ ex-husband Jim Bellino was informed. And the Real Housewives of Orange County star revealed exactly what he said to her.

Alexis told Us Weekly that Jim’s message was pithy, but kind.

“Jim did text me right after he found out and just said, ‘Congratulations,’” she shared.

The former couple featured on Alexis’ first run on RHOC. They were married between 2005 and 2018 and share son James, 17, and twins MacKenna and Miles, 16.

This time around , Alexis is filming with her new love, John. It’s causing quite a stir in the group as Shannon struggles to deal with the legal and emotional fallout. However, between the families, John and Jim get along well.

“John had been around a few times to family events, like James’s graduation, another party that we threw for James [and] a track meet,” Alexis revealed to the news publication. “So, they had been in the same vicinity and met.”

As for all the haters, Alexis has a message of resiliance. She also suggested that her current relationship got stronger because of the drama. So strong, that neither party is pushing for a prenup .

“The engagement is stronger than ever,” she shared. “I think, in part, it’s due to the negativity. It’s just brought us closer and it’s also shown us that we can pretty much make it through anything if we can make it through everything we’ve been through already in nine months.”

Public opinion is turning against John and Alexis in real time due to his taking legal action against Shannon. And according to a teaser trailer, some of her co-stars are over it as well.
