CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Women will gather in Logan Square this weekend for an immersive experience designed to let them express their anger.

“RAGEher is a movement embodiment experience for women to express anger and be in their bodies,” said Kristina McMenamin. “It's really to turn our in-rage into outrage.”

McMenamin said while many women experience female rage, not all of them are comfortable expressing it. That's why she created RAGEher.

“How can we get the experience of having women feel that anger pulsing through our bodies in a way that is more accessible to more women?” McMenamin said.

She said RAGEher is for women who feel like they might have a bit of anger trapped inside.

“Maybe that shows up as you shutting down when you're in conversation with a partner. Maybe that shows up as you not speaking out at work because you're afraid. Maybe it shows up as eyeball rolls. Maybe it shows up as you snap with your kids, and the anger all comes out in one moment. [If] any of those feel a little bit true, maybe give it a try.”

The event is modeled after a girls’ night out, McMenamin said, and encourages women to use their anger as fuel for change.

“Imagine a world where all the women in the world were using their anger toward action, toward creating a better system, toward stepping up into their power and their into their power,” she said. “I mean, it would be a very different world than what we have today.”

RAGEher takes place this weekend at Hairpin Arts Center in Logan Square. Tickets can be purchased online .

Getting a fckng job and start supporting yourself might help. You wouldn’t have time for anger. Too busy to make a living and pay bills.
