Jeremy Allen White of the hit show, The Bear, won the Emmy for Best Actor in a Comedy Series last night. Additionally, he also shared some information on the much anticipated impending Bruce Springsteen biopic. He will star as Springsteen in his leading man debut in a major motion picture come 2025.

To both Allen and Springsteen fans, the film has the potential to be better than Rami Malek’s Bohemian Rhapsody and Taron Egerton’s Rocket Man. However, for the time being, all they have to base this claim on is Allen’s brief comments about the upcoming film. So, time will tell.

White Has Bruce Springsteen by His Side

After winning his Emmy, White took to the Emmy’s press room to say, “I’m pretty excited to start this thing,” per People. Furthermore, he also shared that “Bruce has been really lovely and supportive and available, which has made this whole process I think such an extra joy” and I feel really lucky, and yeah, we’re getting there.”

Even though playing a figure as grandiose as Springsteen might seem daunting, it seems with the help of Springsteen himself the task seems all the more manageable. In addition to Egerton and Elton John, as well as Malek and Freddie Mercury; White and Springsteen will also join a decorated cast of musicians and actors to collaborate on a biopic. Some of the others include Jamie Fox and Ray Charles, Joaquin Phoenix and Johnny Cash, and Austin Butler and Elvis Presley.

    Deliver Me from Nowhere

Back in March, Variety confirmed that White would be playing Bruce Springsteen in the biopic titled, Deliver Me from Nowhere. Based on Warren Zanes’ 2023 non-fiction novel, the film will tell the story of Springsteen during the making of his album, Nebraska. However, the public will still have to wait quite a while for even a trailer to come out.

Aiming to not spoil anything, White made a brief comment about the film’s production. Stating, “We’re going to start it pretty soon. You know, I don’t want to talk about it too much. It feels wrong before kind of getting there and starting the thing,” per The Independent. Even though not much has come out regarding the film, it will surely be one for the books and solidify White as a bonified movie star.
