General Hospital fans see Alexis 'in the hot seat' after they accuse her of 'creating the monster'

Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was "in the hot seat" after taking the blame for Kristina (Kate Mansi).

On the Monday, September 16 episode of General Hospital , Alexis decided to take the fault after finding evidence against Agent Cates murder under Kristina . Because Kristina stole her father Sonny's (Maurice Benard) gun , many believe she is to blame for Cates murder but Alexis had her daughters back. She even took the fault when asked if anyone else her car, which was found at the Quartermaine household.

Alexis wanted to protect Kristina and decided to be held accountable for the FBI agent's death when in reality, Sonny is to blame.

Many viewers at home were not happy with what Alexis was doing. One person on X, formerly known as Twitter, wrote: "She needs to have Kristina treated by a mental health professional." Another person wrote: "She’s in the hot seat right now." A third person wrote: "Alexis needs to protect Kristina by getting her help. She needs Blaze too!" A fourth wrote: "Sorry Nancy, I’m ready to see Alexis do more time. She created the monster that is ‘Kristina’ by constantly covering for her. You both need to do some time."

One user even came up with a theory that could make a difference in the story line: "#GH: I think the twist to John Cates's murder is that Kris killed him and didn't remember because of postpartum syndrome. Writers want us to believe Sonny killed him because he is covering for her."

The reason Alexis was even being questioned by police was because she as seen dumping the gun Kristina stole from Sonny. The police believed it was the same gun that was used to kill Cates. The day Kristina stole the gun was the same day she went to visit her babies grave.

She was her sister Molly's (Haley Pullos) surrogate and because Kristina ended up forming a connection with the baby growing inside her, she was ready to "steal" the baby away. When Molly got the call that Alexis was in for questioning, she blamed Kristina and begged for her to confess to the murder.
