In a touching moment mere days before his own passing, Tito Jackson paid homage to his late superstar brother Michael Jackson , visiting a memorial in his honor.

The revered musician died unexpectedly on Sunday at 70 years old amid reports of a heart attack while en route from New Mexico to Oklahoma.

His last Instagram post, a poignant tribute to Michael who passed away in 2009 , revealed he made time during his Germany tour stop to visit a shrine dedicated to Michael in Munich. Alongside an image of himself at the site, Tito shared heartfelt words : "Before our show in Munich, my brothers Jackie, Marlon, and I, visited the beautiful memorial dedicated to our beloved brother, Michael Jackson."

Expressing deep appreciation for the site that preserves not only Michael's legacy but their collective impact as well, Tito thanked fans for maintaining Michael's influence: "We're deeply grateful for this special place that honours not only his memory but also our shared legacy. Thank you for keeping his spirit alive."

The emotional visit formed part of the Jackson 5's tour through Germany, where Tito performed with son Taryll, 49, and brothers Marlon, 67, and Jackie, 73, culminating in their last act together in Munich on September 10.

Following Tito's untimely demise, a heartfelt tribute was posted by his children Taryll, Taj, and TJ, once members of the pop group 3T; they expressed their sorrow on Instagram, declaring: "It's with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved father, Rock Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson is no longer with us."

The family said: "We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken. Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being."

"Some of you may know him as Tito Jackson from the legendary Jackson 5, some may know him as 'Coach Tito' or some know him as 'Poppa T'. "Nevertheless, he will be missed tremendously. It will forever be 'Tito Time' for us. Please remember to do what our father always preached and that is 'Love One Another'. We love you Pops."

Tito was one of the five members of The Jackson 5.
