Senior Golden Retriever's Transition From Apartment Living to Life on Farm Is Everything

I know I am not alone in my belief that we do not deserve dogs simply because they are too good for this world. If you feel the same way I do, there's a good chance that you also feel that no matter what you are able to give your pup, it isn't enough. For example, we live in a nice, sunny neighborhood with plenty of sidewalks and areas to exercise and explore, but I will always feel bad that we have a small backyard that doesn't have much shade, which means it's totally sweltering in the summer time.

Once in awhile, everything does come together to allow us to give our dog exactly what they want and need, and getting to see their reaction is everything. And until I can move to a farm like this family did, I am going to live vicariously through this sweet Golden Retriever's joy.

The family behind the Instagram account @thelittlecabinthatcould made the choice to relocate to the country from the city, and since doing so, they've seen a huge change in their Golden Retriever, who is now getting the opportunity to live out his senior years in the most gorgeous surroundings after spending his life in an apartment. What a huge change!

The video is a list of all the things that happened for their dog, whose name is Santi, when he moved to the farm, and if a dog could glow with happiness, this one most definitely is.

Not only did he get to discover how much he loves ducks and chicks (seriously, he is so gentle with them!). He also has endless space to run freely, a pond to swim in, and he looks so happy and relaxed in every video clip.

This is just what Santi deserves. He is so loved!

Santi's Farm Life

The family has been documenting their journey of totally changing their lifestyle, and Santi has been a regular fixture of their Instagram posts from the very beginning. They decided to sell their house, quit their jobs, and move to a tiny cabin in Virginia at the end of 2020, and so far, it doesn't seem like they're regretting that choice at all!

When they first started out, they were living in an unfurnished space , but little by little, it all came together — and so did Santi's new routine. He seemed to love experiencing all the seasons out there with dozens of acres to call his own, and soon enough, the family started raising chickens and ducks and he got to discover how much he loves them!

In every video they've shared so far, Santi looks like he's having the time of his life, exactly as it should be. I can't wait for the next update!
