Warriors Kick Tires on NBA Veteran

Although the Golden State Warriors acquired quality veteran role players, there is a potential addition to the Western Conference franchise. Golden State seeks more speed and an average spot-up shooter. According to Spotrac's Keith Smith, the Golden State Warriors worked out Nassir Little.

Little played 45 games for the Phoenix Suns last season. The veteran forward shot a mere 30 percent from behind the 3-point line. However, Synergy Sports' database ranks Little's spot-up metrics as "average," which is better than the aforementioned shooting percentage.

If Little can play spot minutes with Stephen Curry, he will likely finish with higher percentages from anywhere on the floor. Little could help Golden State with his opportunistic offense when the defense converts into offensive possessions.

Last season, 23 percent of Little's plays occurred in transition sequences. Furthermore, he shot an astounding 70.4 effective field goal percentage. Synergy Sports calculated Little as an "excellent" transition finisher.

However, as it's a tryout, Little isn't guaranteed a roster spot. Golden State isn't the only team on Little's radar.

Spotrac also reported that the Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, and the Sacramento Kings will work out the former Portland Trail Blazers forward.
