Drivers can expect lane restrictions and traffic delays as Doolittle Construction installs pavement markings for a chip seal Project along Legion Way and Cooper Point Road, the City of Olympia reported on Monday.

According to the city, the work will be conducted 7:00am-6:00pm from Tuesday, Sep. 17-21, weather permitting.

Flaggers will direct motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists through the construction areas, city officials say. Access to driveways may be temporarily disrupted during the pavement marking process, the city reports further.

Affected streets include Cooper Point Road from Harrison Avenue to 14th Avenue NW; Legion Way from Plum Street to Boundary Street; State Avenue from Wilson Street to Steele Street; and South Bay Road from Steele Street to 5th Avenue NE, according to the reports.

Commuters are encouraged to take alternate routes if possible, the city reports.
