Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino announced his new drug treatment centers as he appeared in a documentary about Matthew Perry's death and an alleged celebrity drug ring .

The star got candid about how drug use affected his life, starting after Season 1 of Jersey Shore . While he only drank when the show started, Mike explained that, eventually, he became addicted to drugs. In an episode of the show, he publicly went through withdrawals where he slammed his head against a cement wall. Mike said that MTV warned him that if he didn't address the problem, he wasn't welcomed to the show. "I took that seriously," he said on TMZ Investigates: Matthew Perry and the Celebrity Drug Ring.

He went on to explain a new era he is ushering in. Mike is set to open up his own treatment centers which he is calling The Archangel Centers. The reality star said: "If you had told me 10 years ago that the U.S. government would send me to prison, strip me of my passport and voting rights, and hit me with millions in penalties, I would’ve thought it was game over. But here I am—living proof that the comeback is always greater than the setback."

In the documentary, Mike said: "Over the past year, I've had the opportunity to partner with folks to open up treatment centers across the country. The first center being in New Jersey, rightfully so, the name of the center is going to be Archangel Centers. That would make me St. Michael and I am the archangel."

The star is proud to be "happily married with three kids" as she's focused his nine years of sobriety on his career which includes the publication of his book. "What once seemed impossible is now my reality," he wrote on Instagram. According to Mike, he "put in the work" to get where he is in his sobriety journey.

He looks forward to his story being "someone else's roadmap to survival." Mike added: "Today, I’m on the front lines, ready to save lives. My experience, strength, and hope will help addicts find recovery, one day at a time."
