LYNDEN, WASHINGTON - Lynden’s newest truck stop, SpeedPro TruckStop, located next to Westside Building Supply at 8391 Guide Meridian Road, is now officially open for business. The new facility offers a large convenience store with a variety of services, including on-site Chester’s Chicken, the well-known fried chicken chain based in Birmingham, Alabama.

    Convenience for Truckers

One of the key features of the new truck stop is the CAT Scale, giving truckers the opportunity to weigh their trucks before heading across the nearby Lynden border into Canada. The closest scale was previously located at the Pilot fueling station in Ferndale, making SpeedPro a more convenient stop for truckers in the area.

This new stop is set to serve the Lynden community and passing truckers alike, providing them with essential amenities in a strategically located facility.

    Plans for Expansion

Looking ahead, the truck stop is slated for expansion, with Phase 2 of the project already in the works. According to project renderings, two pads are planned for the east side of the lot, including a 3,500-square-foot traditional fast-food restaurant and a dual-lane drive-through coffee shop. The possible restaurant is expected to be situated on the south side of the convenience store, while the coffee shop will be located on the north side.

Phase 3 focuses on the western half of the site, which could potentially house mixed-use retail, office, or professional space. Although there are no immediate plans to develop this section, the possibility for future growth makes SpeedPro TruckStop an exciting new development for the Lynden community.

    A Growing Destination

SpeedPro TruckStop is not just about convenience; it’s set to become a major stop for both truckers and local residents as it expands. With the addition of a fast-food restaurant and coffee shop, the location is primed to become a hotspot in Lynden, offering a mix of services for drivers, commuters, and families alike.

truckers wife here. please give trucks enough space. you don't know how much they are hauling. it could be 80,000 pounds. also give them the right of way in roundabouts. we all want to get to our destinations alive!
