Jokes Are Pouring in After Jalen Hurts' Last-Minute Blunder Against Atlanta Falcons

In the Week 2 edition of "Monday Night Football," the Philadelphia Eagles were stunned on their home turf as the Atlanta Falcons stole the game in the last minute to secure a 22-21 win.

The Eagles were on the verge of victory with less than two minutes remaining in the game. However, after running back Saquon Barkley dropped a potential game-sealing pass from quarterback Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia had to settle for three points and a six-point lead. Had Barkley caught the ball, it would have been a first down, and with Atlanta having no timeouts remaining, the game would have been over.

The Falcons, led by Kirk Cousins, went 70 yards in just over one minute to take the lead with 34 seconds left.

The Eagles received the ball back for one last possession. After a solid 13-yard gain on the first play, Hurts took a shot downfield toward wide receiver DeVonta Smith, but it was intercepted, and the Falcons were able to kneel out the game.

Even though many are accusing Barkley of costing the Eagles the game, NFL fans were still quick to roast Hurts after his late-game interception. They took to social media to leave their jokes.

"Jalen Hurts in the clutch," one fan said.

"A Jalen Hurts Turnover to end the game. CLASSIC."

"Nick Sirianni when he sees Jalen Hurts go deep instead of sneaking it up the middle"

"Jalen Hurts with the Eagles game on the line"

"Jalen Hurts with the game on the line:"

Hurts finished the game completing 23-of-30 passes for 183 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He also added 85 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

The Eagles now fall to 1-1 and are in a three-way tie for the best record in the NFC East with the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Commanders. With their win over the New York Giants on Sunday, the Commanders own the tiebreaker. Philadelphia will travel to Louisiana to take on the red-hot New Orleans Saints in Week 3.
