This season is already delivering. There’s been QB rush TDs, streaks extended, insane catches, clutch kickers and a plethora of “we know that HAD to hurt” sacks. However, cutting through all of this exhilarating action on the field; some teams thus far are performing better than others. With a few weeks now under our belts, who has survived the dreaded loss column? Let’s examine the standings… let’s quickly review all of the undefeated NFL Teams headed into week 3.

Which conference has the most undefeated franchises? The AFC. There are currently 5.

However, which division has the most undefeated teams? Well actually two divisions are in a tie. The NFC South boasts two 2-0 franchises; the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New Orleans Saints. Furthermore, the AFC West also has bragging rights of housing two undefeated teams as well. The Los Angeles Chargers and the Kansas Chiefs.

The Chiefs being undefeated is not surprising. They are back-to-back Super Bowl champs. Plus, they also had a nice pickup in the draft, the NFL Combine 40 yard dash record holder, Xavier Worthy. Who has immediately paid dividends in game.

And as for the Chargers, there’s been plenty of buzz surrounding QB Justin Herbert for a bit now. Additionally, they got another infusion of vibes and energy after nabbing a championship winning coach in Jim Harbaugh. So then, seeing these organizations playing well seems quite “on brand.”

On Monday night, the Eagles also had a chance to join the 2-0 club. However, they lost the plot at the end of the game. Losing to the Atlanta Falcons 22-21.

Nevertheless, losses happen. In fact, since the National Football League began in 1920, only one team has played a perfect season (both regular season and playoffs): the 1972 Miami Dolphins, who won all fourteen of their regular season games and three postseason games, including Super Bowl VII, to finish the season 17–0–0.

But some teams have come close. The 2007 New England Patriots famously went 16-0 in the regular season before being upset by the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLII. Plus, the 2015 Carolina Panthers nearly had a perfect regular season, going 14-0 before dropping their Week 16 contest.

But heading into Week 3, here are the teams still with undefeated hopes.
