Today is the Michael J. Fox Foundation Parkinson's Day of Action. On this day, people from around the world advocate online in the fight against Parkinson's Disease.

Parkinson's Disease is a brain disorder which causes a person to shake uncontrollably and to have trouble with balance and with coordination. At this time, there is no known cure for Parkinson's Disease. However, medicine, surgical treatment, and other therapies can help to relieve some of the symptoms.

For this Parkinson's Day of Action, all that you have to do is two things. First, you can sign the petition to tell the White House to ban paraquat. Paraquat is a weed killer that can increase the chance of obtaining Parkinson's Disease by 250%.

The second thing that you can do is to send a letter to the US Congress to sign the Healthy Brains Act (H.R. 9233) which will allow for more research to be done in order to show the connection between the environment and brain damage. Although Congress has remained gridlocked over the years, doing something is always better than doing nothing.
