On Monday, a local news agency CBS News New York reported that the knife the suspect was allegedly using when he was shot by police had been taken by a bystander from the scene. A photograph of the individual the NYPD is searching for was released.

According to police sources, the knife was discovered at the scene after the suspect was injured by officers. However, surveillance footage shows the onlookers carrying it with them. According to authorities, the person is currently wanted for illegal firearms possession. Please contact the NYPD if you have any information.

    The L Train Platform

There was mayhem on the L train platform at Brownsville's Sutter Avenue station. In addition to grazing a 26-year-old woman, two policemen fired bullets at the suspect, hitting a 49-year-old male in the head who is currently in serious condition at Kings County Hospital, causing the NYPD backup to intervene.

On Monday, the wounded cop was scheduled to be discharged from Brookdale Hospital. According to police sources, the suspect, who is in critical condition at Kings County Hospital, has been arrested 47 times, the most recent one being for burglary in 2021. They said he had also been admitted to the hospital six times due to calls from emotionally disturbed people.
