    Virginia teacher was intoxicated at school, police say

    VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A Virginia middle school teacher was intoxicated at work last week, police say.

    Fifty-six-year-old Caroline Power, of Virginia Beach, was found intoxicated after an officer responded to Princess Anne Middle School around 1:30 p.m. Thursday for the report of an intoxicated person.

    Police say Power was served two misdemeanor summons the next day for public intoxication and possession of alcohol on school property.

    Virginia Beach City Public Schools said that Power is no longer employed with the school division as of Sept. 13.

    No other details in the case have been shared.
