Jalen Hurts Engaged To Longtime Partner Bry Burrows

Jalen Hurts has a ring – just not the one the Philadelphia Eagles were expecting. Essence confirmed exclusively that he’s putting a ring on it and is engaged to his college sweetheart, Bryonna “Bry” Rivera Burrows.

The couple was shown on the outlet’s social media accounts vacationing in an undisclosed tropical setting with a violin playing in the background standing in front of an array of candles and roses. Though the moment that Hurts presumably got down on one knee to propose isn’t shown, we see the couple looking into the camera with big smiles.

Burrows is a University of Alabama graduate who also holds an MBA degree from the school. She works at IBM as an AI partner, according to her LinkedIn profile. It’s believed that’s where she met Hurts, 26, who also graduated from Alabama after a stint a Oklahoma.

A clue that an engagement had happened was when Burrows was seen on the sideline at the Eagles’ recent game in São Paulo, Brazil, the team’s first game of the season and the NFL’s first in South America. Burrows appeared to have a large diamond on her ring finger, captured in a photograph from the game.

The couple have largely remained private, though Burrows and Hurts have appeared together at a few public events, most notably on the red carpet at the Time 100 event in 2023. Hurts was on the cover of the Time Next 100 issue.

He told Page Six while on the carpet, that he wasn’t keeping his relationship a secret from anyone.

“No, that’s what it is,” he said. “I know I put a lot of focus on my job, my craft and all of that. Everything don’t have to be explained, I’m happy.”

Burrows was also present when the Eagles went to the Super Bowl in 2022.

Unlike many WAGS, she maintains a low social media profile and her Instagram account is set to private. Hurts has over 1 million followers but keeps his profile confined to work and his foundation. There are no photos of the couple in his feed.

Since Essence confirmed the engagement, neither has talked to the media or shared any additional information. Hurts’ agent, Nicole Lynn, commented on the Essence post, saying “Mrs. Hurts” with a love emoji.

As Hurts is gearing up for the Eagles’ home opener vs. Atlanta on Monday, Sept. 16, don’t expect much more to be said.

In 2023, Hurts did a cover story for Essence and said then, “I’m not married or anything like that. But I am spoken for.”

And now he’s engaged. Congrats to the couple!
