    Man wanted for removing knife from scene of police shooting at Brooklyn subway station

    NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police on Tuesday released photos of a man accused of taking a knife from the scene of the police-involved shooting in Brooklyn on Sunday that wounded 4 people.

    The suspect allegedly removed a knife from the active crime scene on an L train at the Sutter Avenue train station in Brownsville—shortly after police opened fire around 3 p.m . on a different suspect, 37, who allegedly threatened them with a knife.

    The 37-year-old suspect was hit several times and remained hospitalized Monday. One passenger, a 49-year-old man, was struck in the head and was hospitalized in critical condition. Another, a 26-year-old woman suffered a graze wound. A police officer was hit under his armpit and a bullet lodged in his back, but he is expected to make a full recovery.

    The suspect in the knife removal was last observed in front of 480 Sutter Ave.
