ESPN star crushes it on Celebrity Family Feud

Who would have thought that the greatest clutch performance of the year wouldn’t be Patrick Mahomes in the Super Bowl or Steph Curry in the Olympics? No, there’s only one man that deserves that honor for 2024. And it’s ESPN and Meadowlark Media star Pablo Torre thanks to his heroics on Celebrity Family Feud .

Torre and fellow ESPN personality Mina Kimes were playing with celebrity chef David Chang, former LPGA star Michelle Wie West,  and author Chris Ying on a team that had a heavy sports influence up against a team fronted by John Legend and Chrissy Teigen.

Chang’s team won the game and got to play Fast Money for a chance at $25,000 for their charity. Unfortunately, Chang led off and could only muster 54 points, leaving Torre an almost impossible hole to climb out of. In fact, host Steve Harvey said it would take a Celebrity Family Feud record for a second contestant to reach the 200 points needed to win.

And that’s when Torre etched his name into celebrity game show lore with a performance for the ages. He nailed three of the top answers and secured the comeback victory.

Kimes had teased that we didn’t want to miss the episode and she couldn’t have been more right. She also said that she blacked out upon meeting Steve Harvey. And appropriately enough, Torre said that he blacked out for significant portions of his heroics too. I’m sure Michael Jordan felt the same when he drained that jumper over Bryon Russell in Game 6 of the 1998 NBA Finals.

It was back in 2020 that Kimes helped Chang win $1 million on a celebrity edition of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? If you add that onto this Celebrity Family Feud success, it means we might just be witnessing the greatest celebrity game show dynasty in the history of television.
