There was some frustration among Philadelphia Eagles fans early on Tuesday morning after what transpired against the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football.

In reality, the Eagles should have won the game comfortably after scoring a touchdown with about three minutes left on the clock. However, a strange coaching decision from Nick Sirianni left Philly settling for a field goal, which opened the door for Kirk Cousins and the Falcons to drive the field and score the game-winning touchdown with a minute left.

That coaching decision from Sirianni — calling a swing pass to Saquon Barkley that was dropped and stopped the clock on 3rd down — has led to a lot of fans calling for the Eagles head coach to be fired after the collapse in this game.

Take a look at some of the reactions from fans on social media after the loss:

"Nick Sirianni might have just saved the Atlanta Falcons season," ESPN's Ryan Clark said on SportsCenter after the game.

"I’m still mystified how Nick Sirianni kept his job when no one can explain what exactly that dude does," one fan said.

"Nick Sirianni's arrogance to pass in that situation is the reason this team lost," wrote one Philadelphia reporter. "They deserved to lose. A completely unacceptable decision, it was bad in the moment, and we see why you just don't do that.

PFT Commenter took it one step further: "Nick Sirianni should be arrested."

Another Eagles fan already has a job lined up for next year, saying that "Nick Sirianni gonna be pressing t-shirts on the Wildwood boardwalk next summer."

After a great start to his coaching career, going 25-12 in his first two seasons with the Eagles, Sirianni has regressed a bit in terms of results, losing 8 of his last 20 games. Philadelphia is now 1-1 on the season, and there is some extreme frustration among the fan base that they could be in for another frustrating season with Sirianni at the helm.

But if the pass was completed, they would praise the decision and would want to give him an extension. The play was there and should have iced the game
