The Philadelphia Eagles suffered a crushing loss at home on Monday night, falling to the visiting Atlanta Falcons 22-21 in a primetime matchup at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Eagles were in the driver's seat with less than two minutes remaining in the game, moving down the field with a three-point lead.

On a 3rd-and-3 play within the redzone, star running back Saquon Barkley dropped a perfect screen pass from Jalen Hurts. Head coach Nick Sirianni elected to kick the field goal, giving Kirk Cousins and the Falcons a chance to take the lead with a touchdown.

Peyton Manning captured the NFL world's reaction perfectly on ESPN's alternate ManningCast.

The legendary quarterback buried his head in his hands, stood up and paced around the studio after Barkley's critical drop.

Manning's reaction is going viral on social media.

After this drop, Cousins marched the Falcons down the field. He connected with wide receiver Darnell Mooney on two massive chunk plays, then found Drake London in the corner of the endzone for a go-ahead touchdown pass.

"I let my team down today," Barkley said of his drop after the game. "I shouldn't have put the defense in that position. If I make the catch, the game is over."
