The Las Vegas Raiders , coming off a massive win on Sunday, are now coming into Week 3 with a much more optimistic outlook.

After their season-opening loss, the mood around the franchise was gloomy. However, Las Vegas rallied for a huge victory on Sunday, which has reinvigorated the team. With the lowly Carolina Panthers on the schedule in Week 3, there's a real chance the Raiders start the year 2-1.

However, Sunday's game might not be as easier as it looks at first glance. It was announced today that the Panthers will be starting Andy Dalton instead of Bryce Young, and Dalton has proved to be a tough opponent for the Raiders in the past.

At this point in his career, Dalton doesn't prove to be much of a threat. He's a journeyman backup quarterback now, but that hasn't stopped him from dominating the Raiders.

The last time Las Vegas played Dalton was in 2022, when he was a member of the New Orleans Saints . Dalton ended up leading the Saints to a 24-0 win, throwing for 229 yards and two touchdowns, while completing 22 of his 30 attempts.

The most shocking part of that tweet, honestly, is where Dubow mentions that the last two times the Raiders have faced him, they haven't been able to move the ball past midfield. That's a shocking coincidence.

The Raiders aren't a great team, but they are playing a very bad Panthers team on Sunday. Although Dalton has dominated the Raiders in the past, Sunday's game does provide an excellent chance for the Raiders to get some revenge, and move towards a 2-1 record.
