Baltimore Ravens named free agency landing spot for Bears' talented guard

An 0-2 start hasn't eased concerns about the Baltimore Ravens new, restructured offensive line.

The Ravens are using three new starters along the offensive line , with redshirt rookie Andrew Vorhees at left guard, the converted right guard Daniel Faalele , and a rotation at right tackle featuring Patrick Mekari and rookie Roger Rosengarten.

So far, the results have been uneven. The Ravens' offensive line hasn't been a disaster , but they've allowed frequent pressure on Lamar Jackson and have struggled to block for Derrick Henry.

With those struggles in mind, Bleacher Report's Alex Ballentine predicted the Ravens would go after Chicago Bears left guard Teven Jenkins in free agency in 2025.

    Ballentine writes:

"The Ravens are rolling with Andrew Vorhees and Daniel Faalele as their interior duo right now, but an upgrade could be in the cards next offseason.

"Teven Jenkins went from a first-round tackle prospect to a solid starting guard for the Bears. If the Ravens could tempt him to leave the Windy City, it could be a big pickup for their offense."

Jenkins is in the final year of his rookie deal with the Bears. The former second-round pick has been one of the best guards when healthy, but he has struggled to stay on the field, playing just 33 combined games over his four seasons.

Jenkins said over the summer that he hoped to work out an extension with the Bears but that the Bears hadn't negotiated with him.

If Jenkins hits the free agent market next offseason, he could be the type of talented, value pickups that the Ravens like to target.
