Jayson Tatum and the Celtics might be focused on defending their title during the upcoming 2024-25 season, but Boston fans wanting to revisit last year’s title run should log onto Netflix on Oct. 9.

On Tuesday, Netflix released its first full trailer for “Starting 5” — a new sports documentary series that focuses on the day-to-day lives of five NBA stars during the 2023-24 season.

Tatum is one of the five basketball stars profiled in docuseries alongside LeBron James, Jimmy Butler, Anthony Edwards, and Domantas Sabonis.

“Starting Five” will be a 10-part series — each episode 45 minutes in length — that follows all five players both on and off the hardwood last year. It will follow a similar format as other popular Netflix series honing in on sports stars like the NFL’s “Quarterback” and “Receiver”, as well as the F1-centered “Drive to Survive”.

You can watch the first official trailer for “Starting 5” below.

Tatum and the rest of the series’ five stars all receive equal screen time during the trailer, which featured each player mic’d up while on the court.

“You’ve never seen anything like this,” Tatum said during the trailer, which is interwoven with each of the five stars’ commentary.

Beyond the game of basketball, the series will also focus on each of the players’ lives away from the court — with Tatum’s mother, Brandy Cole, and his six-year-old son, Jayson “Deuce” Tatum Jr. both featured in the trailer.

Other highlights include LeBron James dressing up as Beetlejuice, Anthony Edwards singing into the camera, Jimmy Butler’s unexpected haircut during Miami’s photo day, and much more.

And yes, it does look like the series will conclude with Tatum and his team securing their sought-after championship — as one shot features the Celtics popping champagne in the TD Garden locker room.

“It might be a game for you, but this is my life,” Tatum notes.

“Starting 5”, which features a producer list that includes Maverick Carter, Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, and Peyton Manning, will drop its first episode on Oct. 9.
