The San Francisco 49ers are loaded with plenty of top-tier talent but may not be able to keep the entire core together.

San Francisco entered the season among the top contenders to win the Super Bowl this season. The 49ers have had nothing but bad luck so far this season and currently are missing star running back Christian McCaffrey and receiver Deebo Samuel. Hopefully, the team will be able to get healthy soon.

The 49ers have the talent needed to get back to the Super Bowl but can't dig themselves too big of a hole this season. This may be the 49ers' last season with the entire core together. Once the campaign ends, some players could end up leaving in free agency, and Bleacher Report's scouting department predicted that Charvarius Ward will sign with the Detroit Lions .

"2025 Free Agency: CB Charvarius Ward, San Francisco 49ers," Bleacher Report said. "Even after using a first-round pick on Terrion Arnold during last April's draft, Detroit is likely going to be in the market for a starting cornerback this offseason since Carlton Davis and Emmanuel Moseley are impending free agents.

"The organization is also in win-now mode, and currently projects to have about $77.6 million of cap space, per Over The Cap, so addressing the need via free agency makes the most sense. Meanwhile, Ward will likely be one of the top players available at the position after surrendering a meager 62.3 passer rating when targeted and earning an 83.3 coverage grade last season, according to Pro Football Focus."

Will the 49ers find a way to keep the roster together? It's far too early to predict.
