Chappell Roan Reveals When She 'Might Quit' Music

Chappell Roan is one of the biggest rising pop stars today, but even she has her limits when it comes to fame.

The "Good Luck, Babe!" singer appeared in a new cover story with The Face where she opened up about how overwhelming fame can be and the dangers that have accompanied her rise to fame. She even shared a frightening anecdote of meeting two men claiming to be fans who she said harassed her after she refused to sign posters when they showed up at an airport, per People .

"I get out of the car, it's 5:30 in the morning, and there's two guys waiting with a bunch or posters and s--- for me to sign. I know they're not fans. I said no. I was like, 'I don't sign anything at the airport, I'm sorry,'" she recalled, adding, "[One of them] follows me to the TSA line, starts yelling at me and everyone just turns and looks. He's like, 'You should really humble yourself. Do you know where you are right now? Don't forget where you came from.'"

The 26-year-old musician said she has even contemplated taking a step back from music if the dangers start to get more out of hand.

"I told myself, if this ever gets dangerous, I might quit," she said. "It's dangerous now, and I'm still going. But that part is not what I signed up for."

She added that fame can feel "abusive" at times, saying, "The vibe of this — stalking, talking s--- online, [people who] won't leave you alone, yelling at you in public — is the vibe of an abusive ex-husband. That's what it feels like. I didn't know it would feel this bad."

Roan recently opened up about being in "severe denial" about her meteoric rise to pop stardom as well as the downfalls she has experienced in her quick, intense spike in fame.
