BRANDONVILLE – In an effort to deter speeders on the main thoroughfares in the township, East Union Township installed a second speed sign, this time in Brandonville.

The sign reminds drivers of their speed as the enter the village from the Shenandoah mountain on Route 924.

It “gives them a chance to slow down before getting a personal meet and greet with one of our officers,” township officials said in a Facebook post.

It is the second to be installed in the township.

The first was installed in Sheppton at the south end of town on Route 924 at Elm Street.
