The Alabama Crimson Tide are fresh off the biggest win of the season against the Wisconsin Badgers.

On to a bye week ahead of the matchup of the year against the Georgia Bulldogs, HC Kalen DeBoer recapped Saturday and what's ahead during his presser earlier this week.

In doing so, he set the record straight regarding WR Germie Bernard and his postgame comments.

    Germie Bernard Owns It:

“I didn’t realize until yesterday, and actually, Germ did come in and he owned it," DeBoer told the media. "I didn’t even bring it up to him. I didn’t even know it happened until yesterday. He’s a first-class guy, and the emotions and the excitement of the game and all that, unfortunately, you sometimes say things you get asked to comment on. And he actually wanted to say something to the team. We want to be first-class, and we slipped up a little bit there.“He addressed the team yesterday in our team meeting. And everyone knows who Germ is and respect the heck out of him. Something like that is something – it was a great atmosphere. Wisconsin, the environment there, was great. I think our guys enjoyed that transition there in between the third and fourth quarter just as much as anyone. Nothing but respect for what the environment was and who they are as a program.”

The address of the remarks from DeBoer comes after Bernard said the following of Wisconsin after the 42-10 win:

"Honestly, we had a tough week of practice listening to that jump song. We was ready to just shut that weak-ass jump song down.”

To be fair, this seems to me like a competitor just being a competitor and poking fun at the tradition that patrons at Camp Randall take part in, but you could argue that there is a time and place for everything, and that was neither in terms of comments said to media.

But to pull from another successful football coach in Steelers HC Mike Tomlin, I'm sure DeBoer would agree that he rather have to woe his players opposed than sic em when it comes to their competitive nature.

The alleged class if there ever was any has left the building. DeBore is not Saban and runs a loose ship and it shows.

That wasn’t something to apologize for it is a weak ass song that hasn’t been relevant since about 6 weeks after its release
