Dolphins Release Former Star WR After Tua Tagovailoa Announcement

The Miami Dolphins made a big announcement on Tuesday afternoon when it was announced that star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was hitting the injured reserve after he suffered yet another concussion in their Week 2 action against the Buffalo Bills.

This move was widely expected, as the Dolphins want to give Tagovailoa time to assess his options and get fully healthy before they put him back on the field.

That wasn't the only noteworthy roster decision Miami's front office made on the day, though. While the team added another quarterback to their team in former Baltimore Ravens Pro Bowler Tyler Huntley, they released former star wide receiver Robbie Chosen from their practice squad as well.

Chosen posted a 1,000-yard season back in 2020 with the Carolina Panthers, but ever since then, the speedster has struggled to find a home with a new team in the league.

Chosen hauled in one pass for five yards against the Bills, but he reverted to the practice squad after the game, and then ended up getting released on Tuesday.

There's a chance Chosen could latch on with the Dolphins practice squad in the future given his familiarity with the team, but as of right now, it doesn't seem like he's in their future plans.
