Jim Ross Wonders If He Wasn’t Interviewed For Netflix’s Vince McMahon Docuseries Because He “Knows Every Secret”

Four years after initially being announced, Netflix’s docuseries on the life of WWE’s former head honcho, Vince McMahon, finally has a streaming date, with September 25 now confirmed as the launch date for “Mr. McMahon.” Yet, while it’s known that some of the biggest names in WWE history have been interviewed, Jim Ross revealed during a recent episode of his popular podcast that he wasn’t even asked, which left him wondering what those involved were afraid of him disclosing.

“What are you afraid of? What’s the powers to be afraid of? Why wouldn’t you interview me? … I never got a call. Maybe they didn’t feel like I was viable enough to follow up. I would have been happy to do an interview if I had been approached. But that didn’t occur, and I’m not sure why because I know every secret, every corner, the whole nine yards. My feelings aren’t hurt because I wasn’t involved in it; it might be better that I wasn’t just because it would be easier to watch.”

72-year-old Ross worked for WWE on and off between 1993 and 2019 as both an on-air talent and an executive, proving he really should have been one of the first people interviewed given how close he was to McMahon. However, as he has been with AEW since 2019, perhaps Netflix and WWE didn’t want to acknowledge their competition, even though Ross has been a WWE Hall of Famer since 2007 and thus will forever be connected to the company.
