Georgia Bulldogs' star offensive guard Tate Ratledge will be sidelined for four to six weeks due to a knee and ankle injury sustained in the team's 13-12 victory over the Kentucky Wildcats.

In the second quarter, Ratledge went down and was forced to miss the rest of the game. Further testing confirmed he sustained a sprained MCL and a high-ankle sprain.

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart spoke to the media after Tuesday's practice and reported that Ratledge's tightrope ankle surgery on Monday was successful.

Ratledge is in his senior season, and the Bulldogs will look for redshirt junior Micah Morris and sophomore Monroe Freeling to fill his void.

The news is devastating for Georgia, considering it has No. 4 Alabama up next on its schedule.
