As Dancing With the Stars made its season premiere , folks across the nation were all set to watch their favorite celebs take to the dance floor.

But as the evening carried on, a buzz began to build regarding a possible "fix" in the scoring, with not even one star managing to score below six in the inaugural week. Social media channels notably X, formerly Twitter, lit up with viewers blasting judges Derek Hough , Carrie Ann Inaba , and Bruno Tonioli for their scores.

Fans had plenty to say online, with tweets like: "If people are scoring 8's on week one when will the 10's happen? the dances are good, but the scores don't give much room for improvement? #DWTS." Another echoed similar sentiments saying: "Really struggling to understand the judges night 1 scoring." Complaints continued to roll in with remarks such as "Not even a full hour in and this scoring is already sus #DWTS."

And a further viewer pointed out: "These judges are being a little too generous with their scoring. I wish they would actually judge the stars on their dancing." The critiques didn't stop there as another viewer added: "Like yes it's week 1 so obviously everyone is new and learning but u still gotta give them critiques. And don't feel like two contestants deserved 6s #DWTS."

Previous seasons have also seen whispers of a "fix" especially during last year's final when Charity Lawson and Artem Chigvintsev danced and faced judge Carrie Ann's vague remarks on a flaw she couldn't quite put her finger on. A fan remarked then, "Carrie Ann saying Charity made a mistake when she couldn't even pinpoint her mistake? A JOKE SHE IS."

Xochitl Gomez and her dance partner Val Chmerkovskiy had a bit of a slip-up during their routine, but the duo managed to impress enough to snag a perfect score, much to the delight of their fans. One proud fan gushed online: "Imagine being so good that when you mess up slightly it's still a 10. That's our Mirrorball winner."

After the inaugural and first few seasons of DWTS, it was apparent it simply became a popularity contest. It's very clear they don't judge you on your actual dancing performance; it's who they like best, who's popular, etc. Huge mistake once the audience participation became part of it. Audience participation, in any reality show, makes it suspect because it's not being based on real talent, just who has the saddest story, who they like better, etc. Exactly why I don't watch these silly reality shows
