On Tuesday night, Brittney Griner and the Phoenix Mercury faced off against Rickea Jackson and the Los Angeles Sparks for the fourth and final time of the 2024 WNBA season.

Towards the end of the second quarter, both Griner and Jackson got into a heated argument with one another that could have turned violent had the two not been separated immediately. But even being apart didn't stop the two stars from jawing at each other from a distance.

Both players ended up ejected from the game and headed back to the locker room. The altercation went viral on Instagram immediately with over 50,000 likes as of writing.

On the post above, however, many fans thought this was the perfect opportunity to troll Griner in the comment section. In the heat of the moment and while the game was still going on, Griner sent some fiery responses to these critics.

"Come and get me then!" Griner responded to one user.

"And yo a** would of been someone b****," Griner wrote to another.

"Cuz mf's want to try me and they can get this action?" Griner replied to a third.

Former NBA star Matt Barnes, who spent 14 seasons in the league, wasn't a big fan of Griner taking the fans' bait in the comment section and left his own response to the former Baylor Bears star.

"You too old for this lame a** comment section," Barnes wrote to Griner.
