WWE recently made a huge announcement regarding the 14-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton. On the September 13 Season Premiere edition of SmackDown, Orton made his return during Kevin Owens’ tag team match. Before that, he was seen at the WWE Bash in Berlin, where he suffered a loss to WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther.

On the latest WWE SmackDown, Kevin Owens, who was scheduled for a tag team match against A Town Down Under, found himself without a partner. He brought in Ricky Gibson as his substitute. However, just before the match began, Owens was informed by a backstage official that Randy Orton was in the arena. As a result, he gave a Stunner to Gibson and tagged in Randy Orton.

Since his loss to WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther, Orton has not focused on any specific rival. However, he is scheduled to make an appearance on the October 8 edition of WWE NXT on The CW in St. Louis, Missouri, Orton’s hometown.

In the recent WWE NXT broadcast, General Manager Ava excitedly announced that Orton will compete on the October 8 episode. This match will be Orton’s first on NXT in 11 years. His last NXT appearance was on March 27, 2013, when he faced Damien Sandow.

Randy Orton to step into the WWE NXT ring

Starting in October, WWE NXT will move to the CW Network, marking the beginning of a new era. The first episode, scheduled to take place in Chicago, Illinois, will feature CM Punk. He will be the special guest referee for the NXT Championship match between Trick Williams and Ethan Page.

Randy Orton, who will appear on the second episode of the CW Network, has been announced to compete. After WWE General Manager Ava’s announcement, Orton took to Twitter to reveal that he will face NXT newcomer Je’Von Evans.

With the new era on the CW Network kicking off on October 1 with CM Punk and continuing on October 8 with Randy Orton, fans can expect some memorable moments from the brand.

As a devoted professional wrestling fan and writer, the sport is a vital source of joy and escape for me. Wrestling has been a consistent pillar of stability and comfort, shaping the person I am today. Growing up, it played a significant role in my life, with John Cena being a superhero figure for me.
