High Pressure Keeps Michigan Warm and Dry

A dominant high-pressure system over the Great Lakes will continue to provide warm and dry conditions through the end of the week and into the weekend. Today, temperatures will once again reach the low 80s under mostly sunny skies. A slight increase in cloud cover is expected as a result of moisture moving in from the southeast, though rain chances remain low until later in the week.

Weekend Cold Front Brings Light Rain Chances

By Friday night into Saturday, a weak cold front could bring spotty light showers to the area, although moisture levels will be limited. This front is expected to weaken as it moves into Lower Michigan, with rainfall amounts likely to be minimal. The best chance for precipitation will be on Saturday morning, but widespread rain is not expected.

Temperatures Hold Steady Before Cooling Next Week

Temperatures will remain above normal through Friday, with highs in the low to mid-80s and overnight lows in the mid-50s to lower 60s. Looking ahead to next week, a pattern shift could bring cooler, more seasonal temperatures, along with increased rain chances as a new system develops over the Plains.
