1. Long, Layered Cut

If you think your hair is too thin and fine for layers, Hickox says this is a misconception. There are ways to appropriately layer your hair so that it gives you volume. This hairstyle can be worn up, down, curly, straight, or wavy.

2. Layered Bob

A layered bob is different from a classic blunt bob — the layers are key to giving it a ton of movement. Throughout time, bobs have been in style, Hickox explains, but layering your bob avoids a triangle shape (similar to the long, layered cut) that drags the eye down. Layering the bob takes the bulk out of the sides. You can dress a layered bob up or down, which is one of the best things about this cut.

3. Pixie Bob

A pixie bob, which will go by other names as well, is a combination of the pixie and bob. This cut gives you extra length on top and tapered sides, which creates more volume in the temple area, helping to lift the fact, highlight your cheekbones, and make them look more structured. The sides of your hair should angle down into the face for the most impact.
