PlayStation’s first adventure featuring Aloy, Horizon Zero Dawn , has been spotted on the ESRB page, sporting a rating for Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered .

It has now been zero days since a PS4 title has been revealed as getting the remastered treatment for the PS5, and Aloy’s first adventure in Horizon Zero Dawn may be returning for a second run. On Wednesday, internet sleuths uncovered a listing for Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered on the official ESRB website, claiming the title has received an official rating for the PS5 and PC platforms. The title first launched in 2017, but with Sony recently launching The Last of Us Part II Remastered for PS5 — a game that originally launched in 2020 — remasters seem to be in full swing. CGMagazine’s review of the title calls it “more than a remaster.”

The ESRB listing reveals the title has been rated “T for Teen” and provides a brief synopsis of what Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered will explore. Fans have been speculating that Sony would launch a remaster soon, especially after they removed the first-party title from the PlayStation Plus library earlier in 2024. It’s worth mentioning that the base Horizon Zero Dawn received a free PS5 update back in 2021, which added 60fps support and the 4K resolution that now appears on every PS5 box’s upper corner. The timing of the ESRB listing also coincides with Sony’s release of the trailer for their upcoming PS5 Pro consol e, which aims to enhance the formula with ray tracing visuals.

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered could be trying to take advantage of the PS5 Pro’s advanced hardware, and Sony may have listed the title to have what fans and critics call one of the best-looking games on PS4 . A stunning remaster to coincide with the PS5 Pro’s launch in November might be part of Sony’s strategy. The PS5 Pro boasts AI-driven upscaling to further enhance pixelated graphics and an enhanced GPU that PlayStation claims is 45% faster than the base model. It has not yet been confirmed if the remaster will include the DLC content.

No release date has been confirmed for Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered yet, but fans should keep an eye out for more information soon.
