TGI Fridays shutters two Twin Cities locations

Two TGI Fridays restaurants in the Twin Cities area have recently shut down.

Both the once-bustling location in St. Louis Park's West End and the TGI Fridays on Normandale Boulevard in Edina have gone dark, while four locations in the Twin Cities suburbs remain in business.

According to the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal , the St. Louis Park and Edina restaurants closed just before Labor day.

TGI Fridays said in January it had closed 36 under-performing locations nationwide , although none of the closures at that time were in Minnesota.

In the West End, the 10,685-square-foot space is now up for lease , with the listing advertising that the building is situated among nearly 20,000 daytime employees within a one-mile radius.
