Local beautification project taking nominations

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown CityScape is accepting nominations for the 18th annual Beautification Awards.

People in the community can share details about places where they’re seeing big changes to landscaping, renovations, architectural restoration, and even new facades.

It can be improvements to a home, office, or public space.

The awards are a recognition for special care given to a place within Youngstown city limits.

“So this project, you know, is a really good way to recognize what people are doing in the community, to keep it beautiful, to show off their spaces and to show a little bit of community pride and maybe incentivize others to do the same,” said Adam Lee with Youngstown CityScape.

The nomination deadline is Sept. 27. The beautification awards will be given out in November.
