Motorcyclist injured in Allendale Township crash, deputies say

ALLENDALE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital after a crash in Allendale Township Wednesday afternoon.

Around 4 p.m., a vehicle driven by a 20-year-old woman from the Detroit area was headed west on Fillmore Street and went to turn into a driveway, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office. At the same time, a motorcycle driven by a 21-year-old Holland man went to pass the vehicle and the two crashed.

The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time, deputies say, and was conscious and talking when first responders arrived. He was taken to the hospital, the sheriff’s office said.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured, deputies said.
