Volcom is a staple in Skate, Surf, and Snow apparel, with a history dating back over thirty years. The iconic Volcom Stone is one of the most recognizable logos in action sports, and it has always been faithful to its roots, but that doesn’t mean there's no room to grow. Now, the brand is doing just that with its foray into mountain bike apparel by introducing a handful of well-thought-out, mountain bike-specific garments to its already wide catalog.
The company recently released a video project titled “Should Have Been A Cowboy” to accompany the new release. The project was filmed in Idaho and Montana with Ryan Howard, Matt Begg, Ryan Mcnulty, and Ian Collins, and showcases exceptionally fluid riding along with Volcom's new MTB capsule .
While it was a bit of a surprise to see this respected board sports brand dip into mountain biking, its initial presence is impressive. The mountain bike apparel collection contains the necessities with subtle branding, competitive prices, and tech details that typically warrant a slightly higher price tag.
The new Trail Ripper pants, Trail Ripper shorts, and an assortment of tech tees, in particular, out in the brand's offerings and showcase how they plan to compete in a crowded market.
This technically crafted V.Co-Tech piece was designed in partnership with the new Volcom mountain bike team to give them the versatility and comfort they wanted for getting after it on the trails.
